In Business Since 1949
Pioneered by George Castle, Castle Harbor had its beginnings as early as 1949. Incorporated as Castle Harbor Boats, Inc. in 1956, it is now one of the oldest continually operating marine businesses in South Florida. The early days consisted of mostly recreational sailboat rentals and casual instruction. Today, under the direction of Cai Svendsen, Castle Harbor has become a sophisticated sailing program for the entire community. Nestled between Fairchild Tropical Gardens and Gables Estates off Cutler Road the Matheson Hammock Park and Marina became the new home for Castle Harbor in 1998.
Our Foundation
The foundation of Castle Harbor’s program is built upon the AMERICAN SAILING ASSOCIATION Certification System that is a multi-level course of nationally recognized instructional standards for adults. Beginning at the Basic Keelboat level and continuing upwards to Coastal Navigation and Bareboat Cerftification. Along the way and in between, there are also programs for buoy racing, charter boats, youth sailing, teambuilding and ocean racing. An active club membership helps to support the day to day activities.

Life in the 21st century and the demands of business competition demands that we all work diligently at building our inter-personal skills at all levels. Like your business, Castle Harbor must meet these goals too. Let our skills get to work for you.
